Crazy happy week

Last 2 days have been pretty crazy. Thursday I met my new client Ga who is 5 and just darn hilarious. We were playing with princess magnets because she's a 'girly girl' (described by my supervisor).

Her: Yeah put the kown on the pincess head, and the pince and pincess on the horse then they ride far far away then the pince say 'Will you marry me?'
Me: Oh, and what does the princess say?
Her: *swoons* She say, yess, yes i will! *makes kissing sounds*
Me: Oh my, are they kissing?
Her: Its ok, they are MARRIED!

Well, can't argue with that five-year-old logic. ;))

In the evening I babysat Ja (who just turned 3) and his sister Em (19 months) and I was completely pooped out by the end of 2 hrs. I could not keep my eyes off them for one second because Ja would push her and she'd fall over since she's still pretty unstable on her feet. Or they'd be fighting over toys, including a teeny shovel that she tried to put in her mouth. And one time I took my eyes off her for 2 secs and Em was tugging at the toy kitchen stove set and the whole thing almost toppled on her. OMG. Really I'm doing this mostly because I feel SO BAD for the parents who haven't had a date in 1.5 years because they've had a hard time recruiting a babysitter that the kids would stay with. He was my client last sem so he's pretty familiar with me, and likewise me with him.

Then yesterday I met Korean guy 2, and I babysat Av in the evening. Both of which I enjoyed. :) (Man it feels soooo good to have free time again!) I told Korean guy 2 how I bought the game Apples to Apples at Macy's for 70% off in the post-Christmas sale and ended up playing it for hours over winter break because everyone loved it so much. He's really interested in the game and wants me to bring it next week, because he thinks it'd help him in English! And actually it'd help him understand American culture too, and its nice all the cards have the little explanations written on the bottom.

Today.. I'm going to attempt to make either Pandan cake or Pineapple Tarts for the CNY gathering with some of the Singaporean folk tonight. :) Maybe its time to dig my mahjong set out of the hall closet too... :))
